1. Who we are

Sora Wealth Ltd (“Sora”, “we”, “us”) is the controller of the personal data we collect through this website and our waitlist, under the ADGM Data Protection Regulations 2021. You can contact us about this policy or your data at contact@sorawealth.co.

2. What we collect

When you join our waitlist, we collect your name and email address. You can also tell us where you live, what you’d want help with, how you manage your money today, roughly how much you might invest, and whether you’d like to speak with us. If someone joins through your referral, we record that.

If you email us, we keep your message and contact details. When you visit our website, our systems record technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, and we use cookies and similar technologies to understand how the website is used. We also record whether you open our emails and click on links in them.

3. How we use it and why

We use your waitlist details to send you updates about Sora, invite you to join when we launch and decide the order in which we invite people. Your answers help us understand what people want and shape what we build, and if you’d like to speak with us, we’ll email you to arrange a time. Before launch, we may also invite you to take part in research.

We do this with your consent, which you give when you join the waitlist. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing from any of our emails or contacting us. Withdrawing doesn’t affect anything we did before.

We use messages you send us to reply to you. We use technical information to keep our website running securely and to understand how it is used. We do this because it is in our legitimate interests to respond to people who contact us and to run a secure, working website.

Giving us your details is voluntary, but we can’t add you to the waitlist without your email address. The questions are optional, though answering them moves you up the waitlist.

4. Who we share it with and where it is stored

We don’t sell your personal data. We share it only with providers who host our systems, send our emails and run our website analytics. They may use it only to provide their services to us. We may also share it where the law requires us to, for example with a regulator or a court.

Some of our providers store your data outside ADGM. When they do, we transfer it only to places the ADGM Commissioner of Data Protection recognises as providing adequate protection, or under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, a copy of which you can request from us.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist details until you ask us to delete them or we no longer need them for the purposes above. If you unsubscribe, we’ll stop emailing you. We keep messages you send us and technical information only as long as we need them for those purposes.

6. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, or ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or give it to you in a portable format. You can object to our use of it for our legitimate interests, and you can stop our emails at any time by unsubscribing. To do any of this, email contact@sorawealth.co. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Commissioner of Data Protection at the ADGM Office of Data Protection.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your waitlist details, we’ll tell you by email before it takes effect.
